Some of the best recipes that earn a place in your file are those handed down through generations. One recipe that comes to mind is this waffle recipe from an old church cookbook! Immigrant farmers from Germany established the little rural Ottertail, MN church nestled in among dairy farms scattered across the countryside. Very few of these original farms remain in dairy production, but the farms still in operation have been in the family for 4, 5, even 6 generations!

Ingredients:
- 3/4 c. Melted butter
- 2 1/4 c. Hastings Creamery whole milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 1/2 c. Flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 tsp Salt
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Combine butter, milk, and eggs. Add dry ingredients and beat until smooth. Bake on a hot, greased waffle iron. Belgian style works great!
